plasma TV prices falling

Question: plasma TV prices?
I read in Consumer Reports that the prices of plasma TVs were going to drop significantly in the coming months (the article was published this month). Does anybody know when? I plan on getting the Sony KDE-42XS955, but if the price drops by 25%...I would like to wait

Answer:It is hard to know exactly when, but there are a few indicators out there to watch for...there is new tech coming out for plasma TVs like higher contrast ratios, new tuners, etc....those should be out by mid year-fall...

Plus, if one thinks that in Summer PDP sales sometimes decrease due to the fact that people is more likely to spend time outside due to the nice weather then I would expect the retailers/ manufacturers to drop prices in the middle of the summer or towards the beginning of the fall...

So there you go...hope that helps!!...I personally monitored my PDP price throughout last year and decided to buy in November...the lowest price I registered was actually in August - September...
